It Started with a Simple Idea

We started KingVoyage in Bandung back in 2013. The idea was pretty straightforward. Travellers from Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei were coming to Indonesia but most of them had a hard time finding a tour that actually felt personal. Group tours were too crowded. Online bookings felt too risky. And finding a guide who actually speaks Bahasa Melayu? Not easy.

So we thought, why not do it properly. Private transport, halal meals, prayer time in the schedule, and a guide who feels more like a local friend than a stranger with a flag. That was the idea and it worked. Guests kept coming back and telling their friends.

COVID Hit. We Did Not Give Up.

When the pandemic hit in 2020, everything stopped. No flights, no tourists, no tours. It was tough. But sitting around doing nothing was never really our style.

During those two years, we built something new. We launched a premium vehicle rental service, providing comfortable and well-maintained cars for private companies and government offices across West Java. It was different from tourism but the mindset was the same. Good service, reliable vehicles, and people who actually care about the job.

A Bigger Fleet, A Better Service

The corporate rental side of things kept growing and it is still going strong today. We now operate a fleet of premium vehicles including the Toyota Alphard, Innova Zenix Hybrid and Hiace Premio, serving companies and government institutions across the region.

This is actually great news for our tour guests too, because it means you get the same high-quality, well-serviced vehicles that we use for corporate clients. Not a random rental car. A proper, comfortable ride.

We Are Back. And We Missed This.

In 2026 we officially reopened KingVoyage for leisure travellers. New packages, new destinations, same heart. Honestly we missed the tourists. We missed showing people Kawah Putih for the first time. We missed hearing "wow" at Borobudur. We missed all of it.

I built KingVoyage because I have always had a deep love for serving people. Not just doing the job, but genuinely making someone feel taken care of. There is a kind of satisfaction I get when I know a guest had an amazing trip, when everything went smoothly, when they come back and say it was better than expected. That feeling is why I do this.

I am also, honestly, a bit of a perfectionist. I cannot do things halfway. Every trip we handle has to be done properly, from the vehicle to the hotel to the meals to the timing. If something is worth doing, it is worth doing right. That is just how I work and it is the standard I hold everyone at KingVoyage to.

Building this business was not always smooth. There were years that tested everything. But I kept going because I knew what I was building had real value. Every difficulty taught me something. And today, KingVoyage is sharper, more experienced and more committed than ever before.
