Borobudur Temple

Two smaller but equally impressive Buddhist temples along the same ancient pilgrimage route as Borobudur. Rarely visited by tourists - a hidden gem.
Merapi Jeep Lava Tour
Hop on a 4x4 jeep and explore the slopes of Mount Merapi - Indonesia's most active volcano. Visit the Kaliadem bunker, Mini Museum Sisa Hartaku and the famous Alien Stone left behind by the 2010 eruption.

Prambanan, Kraton & Malioboro

Prambanan Temple
Visit the magnificent 9th-century Hindu temple complex - a UNESCO World Heritage Site dedicated to the Trimurti (Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva). The towering spires set against the blue sky are breathtaking.

Kraton - Sultan's Palace
Explore the royal palace of the Yogyakarta Sultanate - still home to the Sultan today. Witness traditional Javanese court culture, architecture and gamelan performances.
Taman Sari - Water Castle
A former royal garden and bathing complex built in the 18th century. The underground mosque, bathing pools and labyrinthine corridors make for a fascinating exploration.
Malioboro Street
Stroll along Jogjakarta's most iconic street. Browse batik, leather goods, silver jewellery and local crafts from hundreds of street vendors and shops.
